Message from Chamber President Terri Egan

The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce, our esteemed Board of Directors and members of our vibrant business community invite you to consider visiting and/or relocating to our community.

You will find an amazing team of professionals at the Chamber, an organization that has been a key part of this community for more than 63 years, dedicated to serving our members as well as the residents of Bethlehem!

Our mission is simple- “The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce supports its members and the community creating a positive business environment through education, government relations, promotion and advocacy services.”  We are a not-for-profit, voluntary organization of business and professional men and women joined together for the purpose of promoting civic and economic progress of our community.

I encourage you to be active and you will find great value in your membership.  Join us as we advocate, insure, Innovate, and connect. Volunteer for a committee and share your voice and the voice of all of our businesses as we debate policies and encourage economic growth in our community.

While Bethlehem is an incredibly sought after community as presented by the Supervisor below, the business community is the backbone of Bethlehem providing for all needs of its residents ranging from international companies (Plug Power, SABIC and Owens Corning) to our much-appreciated sole proprietors and entrepreneurs.  The business owners of Bethlehem are the true heroes of the town with their pioneering spirits and can-do attitudes.  Our businesses, along with our shopping, dining opportunities, diverse cultures, high quality education, safe community and unique small-town feel lend themselves to a wonderful work-life balance.

We look forward to welcoming and meeting with you and know that the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce will always have the back of our business community.

Message from Town Supervisor David VanLuven

Welcome to the Town of Bethlehem, New York!  Bethlehem was founded in 1793 and has a rich history.  Located just outside the state capital and along the scenic Hudson River, our charming hamlets, vibrant intergenerational population, nationally ranked school districts, proximity to numerous higher education institutions, access to top notch medical facilities, stellar town services, and diverse business community all make Bethlehem THE place to live, work, and play.

Money Magazine once recognized Bethlehem as a “Great American Town” and one of the "Best Places to Live" because of our low crime rate and access to arts and leisure including museums, restaurants, recreation areas, and parks.  These assets are even stronger today and now include more than 11 parks, extensive hiking/walking trails, and the popular 9-mile long Albany County Helderberg-Hudson rail trail.

We boast extensive transportation alternatives with an international airport and rail station within a 20-minute drive, a deep water port, and one the largest rail yards in the eastern United States.  We are an easy drive to the picturesque Adirondack and Catskill mountains, and in less than 3 hours you can be in NYC, Boston, or almost to the Canadian border.

We are proud and passionate about the Town of Bethlehem.  We invite you to join our community and look forward to welcoming you and your family so you too can be part of “Together, We Are One Bethlehem!”
