Update from the Port of Albany regarding the Port Expansion Project: Offshore Wind Energy

In the coming week, the following is expected to take place:

  • Daily meetings with design and contractor personnel

  • Community air monitoring program equipment running on site in coordination with NYSDOH and NYSDEC

  • Monitoring and maintenance related to SWPPP requirements

  • Survey crew layout

  • Erosion and sediment controls maintenance

  • Maintaining site access haul roads

  • Grubbing in limited areas

  • Site grading

  • Import of aggregate and placement on site

  • Settlement monitoring

 

Be aware of equipment offloading activity and general truck traffic on the east side of Rt 144. This will consist of entry/exit activity near 214 River Rd, Glenmont, NY 12077 (DeMartini Oil), the intersection of Rt 32 and Rt 144, the intersection of South Port Rd and Rt 144, and just south of the train overpass on State Rt 144.

 

Also be aware of potential traffic slowdowns from continued street sweeping operations
